Developed deep learning models (3D U-Nets) for subgrid-scale modeling in numerical simulations of turbulent combustion.Key challenges include- Determining to what extent models trained on a limited set of simple simulations can generalize well to complex test configurations- Coupling deep learning models with a massively parallel fluid solver in a high-performance computing environment (Python/Fortran coupling via an MPI interface, message passing between structured and unstructured grids with heterogeneous partitioning). Launched large parallel simulations on the Jean Zay supercomputer.
