After completing my undergraduate studies in Electronics engineering worked at TELCO, Pune, in their Electronics Division from 1973 to 1975,before going to USA for higher studies. After completing the Masters programme worked for a year with M/S Computer Automation Inc. in California; and was then sent on deputation to India from 1978 to 1981 to set up a production facility for computer peripherals in SEEPZ free trade zone at Bombay. In 1982 joined M/S Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd. in Karnataka to set up the electronics department; and was responsible in conceptualizing the diversification programme in the field of electronics and software that resulted in establishing modern electronic industries in Sandur, Karnataka, with a total investment of about Rs. 80 Cr. to provide rural employment and job opportunities to the locals.Backed by nearly 35 years of industrial experience in various disciplines related to the electronic industry, presently functioning as the CMD of M/S Sandur Laminates Ltd. - industry originally set up to manufacture Copper Clad Laminates, and later adapted to produce Photo-voltaic solar panels. Also, functioning as CMD of M/S Sandur Micro-circuits Ltd. - a facility to make thick film components for the electronic and automotive industry.
