As a filmmaker, I communicate my lived experience through the visual storytelling medium of film. Through this medium, I continue a tradition of Southeast Asian storytellers and artists from my family to communicate my own worldview. To build up my craft as a filmmaker, I have worked as a graphic designer for SPARK Magazine where I was awarded with "Best in Graphic Design" for Issue No. 19. In addition, I have worked in set design, set styling and creative direction for an editorial for Saffron Magazine. Through these positions, I have been able to not only visualize my stories but also my fellow creatives' through extensive planning and collaboration using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.For my filmmaking projects, I have helped develop short films through direction, production design, and script writing. Off set, I have used my proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro to edit these short films as well as a variety of other short videos. As a multimedia artist, I often use Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Animate to add multimedia elements characteristic of my filmmaking style.
