As a Graduate Assistant in the 2D/3D Micro Fabrication Lab at JK Lab, I contribute to cutting-edge research and development by leveraging advanced fabrication techniques and precision tools to create micro-scale devices. My key responsibilities include:-CAD Modeling: Develop and refine detailed 2D and 3D models of micro-scale devices using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring accuracy and functionality in the design phase. - 3D Printing: Operate state-of-the-art 3D printers to bring CAD designs to life, focusing on maintaining high precision and dimensional accuracy throughout the fabrication process.- Metallization: Employ DC sputter metallization techniques to deposit thin metal films on micro-fabricated devices, enhancing their structural and functional properties.- Electroplating: Conduct electroplating processes to improve the electrical conductivity and durability of devices, addressing performance and longevity requirements.- Microscopic Measurement: Perform detailed microscopic measurements at various stages of the fabrication process to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.- Device Testing:Utilize a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to measure and analyze key electrical characteristics of completed devices, including inductance, resistance, and capacitance.- Rapid Prototyping: Facilitate rapid prototyping and cost-effective production methods, contributing to timely project development and alignment with sustainable manufacturing practices.
