Honors Paralegal, Office Of The General Counsel (Ogc)
Current- Assist appellate litigators with the preparation of briefs, appendices, and other filings in competition and consumer protection cases such as FTC v. Microsoft-Activision (9th Cir.) and Intuit v. FTC (5th Cir.)- Conduct legal and record cite checks of briefs and Part 3 Commission opinions to ensure consistency with legal authority and Bluebook guidelines - Compile and distribute weekly and semi-annual reports tracking agency-wide litigation and legal counsel updates- Assist with the fulfillment of FOIA, congressional, and form 712 state access requests, as neededThe Office of the General Counsel is the FTC's chief legal officer and adviser. The office's major functions include representing the Commission in the U.S. Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court and providing legal counsel to the Commission, the operating bureaus, and other offices.
