As a Director of Development for Houston Community College Foundation, I have the privilege of supporting student success by building relationships and raising funds for student scholarships, capital projects, and operational support for the Houston Community College System. I work with the Presidents of John B. Coleman, M.D. College for Health Sciences, Online College, and Southeast College, as well as their respective Deans, to achieve these goals.

Secure or solicit a wide array of gifts ranging from $250 - $360,000. Many of these gifts are between $10,000 - $50,000 with my larger gifts including a $100,000 bequest and an outright gift of $360,000. These gifts are comprised of crypto currency, cash, planned gifts (bequests), and Individual Retirement Account (IRA) distributions (both normal and Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)).Manage a portfolio of donors (50 - 60 households) who give to a wide range of initiatives including endowments, changing exhibits, the Annual Fund, and General Operations. I have cultivated many of these relationships over a two-year time period. Lead all Stewardship efforts for the Museum, including developing a lifetime giving society comprised of 256 households with an inaugural event that welcomed over 75 guests on January 23, 2023. This society has helped the Development office further engage these donors and develop solicitation plans for upgrading them to higher giving levels.Lead the Development team in reviewing weekly Stewardship Reports. On average, we call six donors a week and at least one of these moves into the Prospect Pool or a Development Officer portfolio.

I designed a Stewardship Plan for the organization to reflect ongoing stewardship activities and lay out a roadmap for showing our gratitude to donors. As part of this plan, I organized New Member Welcome Events for first-time Century Club members who were also current students. These events provided an additional in person touchpoint with new donors, reduced overhead costs to our organization, and increased our return on investment for these first-time donations by 28%.I also oversaw the acknowledgement of all donations to the Annual Fund, processing an estimated 50,000 acknowledgement letters.

I handled numerous projects related to the overall success of the the Texas A&M Foundation's $4 billion Lead by Example campaign. - Surveyed over a dozen public universities conducting similarly-sized campaigns and compiled benchmark statistics to measure performance. - Helped development officers manage their portfolios by identifying new prospects for qualification through extensive research. I did this for the Hagler Institute for Advance Study, The Bush School of Government and Public Service, the College of Engineering, and The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.In May 2020 I shifted focus to the Endowment Reporting Project. In this project, I worked with members of Information Systems, Donor Engagement, and Development to build and maintain a database of scholarship accounts and associated donors. In this database, I personally verified over 3,000 account names and donor records to ensure the proper stewardship of donors.

I was assigned to the Texas A&M Foundation and built relationships with development officers in multiple colleges, preparing presentations, solicitations, and proposals for major gift donors. Projects included: - SWOT Analysis of the Bush School of Government and Public Service Intel Studies Program - Outcome: Better-aligned funding opportunities for donors and prospects - College of Engineering Planned Giving Pipeline - Outcome: Developed a tool for Planned Giving officers to find new opportunities that were previously unidentified in the College of Engineering - Donor Recognition Standardization - I catalogued capital recognition opportunities across the Bush School, the Mays Business School, and the College of Architecture to provide a broader framework for the Donor Engagement team to standardize capital recognition opportunities across all colleges. - Outcome: This laid the groundwork for bigger conversations around colleges and departments providing the same recognition for equivalent naming opportunities e.g. naming a classroom would start at $250,000 and receive the same type of physical and digital recognition
