Supervising Attorney for SSD/Veteran's Affairs/Long Term Disability Department

Managed and maintained approximately 160 Social Security Disability and SupplementalSecurity Income cases from initial intake to hearings and appeals to the Appeals Council. Successfully litigated premises liability and slip and falls from investigation/demand tosettlement/arbitration. Handled dozens of Workers' Compensation hearings for supervising attorney; argued in front of Workers' Compensation Appeal Board.

Performed undercover surveillance duties on insurance, theft, and domestic cases. Job duties included: located, verified, and followed subjects on foot and within a vehicle, conducted video surveillance utilizing a video camera and pin-hole cameras, discretely gathered information on the subject via internet and area reconnaissance, documented the subject’s actions and completed daily descriptive reports of the subject’s activities. Was a member of the Special Investigations Unit that was responsible for gathering witness statements, accident scene photography, and locating persons for process of service.

Admitted to the limited practice law under Delaware Supreme Court Rule 56; conducted legal research for suppression motions; conducted client interviews; assisted attorneys with plea negotiations and appeared in Family Court alongside the client for judicial approval.

Conducted one-on-one interviews with persons who were recently charged with a crime; created/revised detailed interview reports prior to staff attorney use.
