Currently working as a TRS, which I really enjoy due to the variety (Special Education qualified, BA BSpEd GradDipEd MEd MNsg(Mental Health MSc(Sc Ed) and MGuid&Couns). I enjoy constantly reading and learning educational psychology (i.e., psychology, neuropsychology books, MOOCs and sites - ADDitude/Spectrum for evidence-based journal articles), which is useful in understanding students and people. I have a love of learning - especially mathematics - coupled with an enjoyment of seeing students having 'the aha moment'. I read such brain related psychology as 'WISC-V Assessment and Interpretation' and "Neuropsychology ... made simple" by Nicky Hayes. Additionally, engaging my brain in learning another language i.e., Spanish. I read either textbooks or articles related to psychology - especially educational psychology - every day. For example, after searching on-line, I discovered that Kent Community Health has a fantastic five hour course on Selective Mutism. Thus, I am always reading either course material or journal articles that enable me to understand learning difficulties. One can never stop learning about the brain; that's why I never get bored with neuroscience and child or adult development. I reiterate that I love learning and always have, inculcating or imbuing such a love of learning in others.
