I help clients dealing with complex regulatory issues, energy market design, merger clearances, abuse of market power investigations and quantum disputes in litigation/arbitration. The "GCR/Who's Who Legal: Competition" recognises me as a Future Leader for Competition Economics and I also won a Lexology Client Choice award for competition economists.I have extensive experience on regulatory issues in the telecommunications, electricity and airports sectors. My practice has involved the design and operation of access regimes in the rail, water, ports, gas and postal sectors. On energy matters more broadly, I have advised clients on market design, competition, transmission pricing reform and gas transmission governance .My competition/antitrust experience has involved analysing mergers & acquisitions and allegations of anti-competitive practices in a broad spectrum of industries, including: pay TV, insurance, broadband, news/media, health care, manufacturing, forestry, retail, agriculture, transport, electricity generation/distribution/metering, and waste.At the intersection of competition and regulation, I have broad experience advising firms on market studies and inquiries by governments and regulators. These studies typically assess competition, and if it is lacking consider regulatory interventions.
