Business developer, design strategist, investor, technology columnist, and public speaker. All big pictures are patterns of important details. I generally like the combination of big ideas and hands-on practical work. I am very involved in developing green business models and industrial ecosystems that decouple growth from resource depletion and increasing CO2 emissions. I recently co-authored the book "Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy", published on Wiley. Formerly I was an author of To Grader, a magazine on climate research published by The Norwegian Climate Foundation. I have experience from different industries, and hands-on experience with a range of technologies and business models. During my career, I founded and co-founded several startups, events, and not-for-profit initiatives. I started as a newspaper journalist. Then I started Fri Flyt skiing magazine, that turned into Norway's #1 publisher of several niche magazine in the sports/outdoor sector. I later founded Fjellfilmfestivalen (mountain film festival), Stormkastkonferansen (business conference), and Netlife Bergen (design agency). For some years, I took part in developing the business cluster-projects NCE Tourism and MediArena (currently known as NCE media) in my hometown Bergen. In 2018 I co-founded NEW, a business building new startups in collaboration with industrial partners. I focus on high-impact business ideas. Currently, I am involved in WasteIQ - a digital platform for next-generation waste management based on open standards and IoT integrations. Data-driven systems and business models are key to create circular business models and new behavioral incentives.
