- Over the last 10 Months I was introduced to Microsoft Intune here at the Census Bureau to support a special iPhone upgrade bureau wide. Before Intune MaaS360 was the primary MDM.
- Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based endpoint management solution designed to help us here at the United states Census Bureau manage and secure the mobile devices across various platforms such as macOS, iOS and Android.
- My responsibilities are to manage devices and applications remotely i.e. new user enrollment via Apple Business Management (ABM), password reset, device wipe and distribute apps, etc.
- The Company Portal app is part of Intune, that app allows users to access and install company-approved applications without the assistance of the Helpdesk.
- Once Comp Portal is installed these apps automatically get downloaded of which is managed by me and the team: MS Teams, Authenticator MFA, SecurID\RSA Token, Microsoft Outlook, MS Defender, Microsoft 365_One drive, etc.
