I was an Executive Director at leading economic and public policy, and management consulting firm, ACIL Allen Consulting, for 13 years, until I led a management buy out of the firm's Public Affairs Practice in early 2018.As well as working with colleagues on complex public policy and economics projects and issues, I led the firm's Public Affairs Practice Management Consulting Practice, which included the Centre for Corporate Public Affairs, a membership based research, thought leader and professional development entity based in Australia, but operating internationally (100 corporate members).As well as being accountable to jointly manage the business of 80 consultants in Australia in the consulting business, my specialist expertise involved high level corporate public affairs advisory and consulting work to regional and global corporations, governments and peak associations and bodies, especially relating to public affairs as a core management function (including appropriateness, best practice and efficiency), public policy development, public advocacy, corporate reputation strategy and measurement and advisory, corporate social responsibility, issues management systems. I also developed executive education curriculum internationally in public advocacy, issues management, industry association strategy, governance ad management, and all aspects of corporate public affairs strategy, management and modus operandi, and deliver this and other executive education in business strategy in China, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia, and the Middle East.My work (and personal interest) included writing on best practice in international peer review journals and business books, and speaking internationally on best practice industry and corporate advocacy.

Held senior leadership positons in the comapny's Culture and Reputation team, including Head of Stakeholder Relations, Head External Relations and Head External Communications. Represented the corporation in peak industry and external fora, and sat on the management team of the company's largest operating entity, Insurance Manufacturers of Australia.

I was also a National Committee Member of the Australian Republican Movement.
