Machine Vision System Designer
Current- Designing and manufacturing vision systems to automatically inspect cable jacket and/or print quality with both in-line and off-line high-speed camera systems- Main engineer responsible for researching and developing several key vision software bases such as Print Length Verification (PLV) and Colour Verification (CV) - Developing and modifying image processing algorithms such as colour verification, auto-focus, and defect feature extraction, classification and measurement using C++ and OpenCV- Design and optimize image analysis algorithms to process and detect defects in real time- Experienced in multi-threading and synchronization techniques for high-speed processing requirements- Design and develop electrical, optical and software components of multiple unique projects and manage mechanical design to ensure customer needs and requirements are met- Adopted SQL database system to replace file system in all vision software- Integrate software with various platforms such as PLC integration, OPC and database integration, direct I/O management, etc- Develop PLC programs to allow specific trigger methods of the vision cameras for print length verification and surface defect detection of cable- On-site commissioning and providing remote technical support to customers around the world
