Morgan Yachting has been a key part of the Gweilo Program since day 1. Wade carried out all the pre purchase diligence for purchse and has managed all the modifications to bring her up to speed including a rig rebuild, A new Keel, New Rudder and has overseen the sail program. Added to this in early 2019 Wade was appointed skipper that led to a close 2nd place overall in that years Hobart. On 2020 Gweilo won the Blue water point score in what was a condensed year with the cancelation of the Hobart race. Even with Wades commitment overseas with 11th Hr Racing Team the relationship and close involvement continues in 2021

Wade was contracted to oversee the build of the teams new IMOCA for The Ocean Race. This boat is unique in that it is build for a crewed race and so much of what is "normal" in the class had to be rethought. Throughout the role Wade worked closely with the sailing team, designers and technical partners as the focal point of the project right up until the logical conclusion at the start of the TGV. Morgan Yachting was contracted to manage and optimise the build of the Ker 46+ #2 for an experienced team in the USA. This role was difficult but equally rewarding working with a team Wade had never met but whom had a clear view of what they wanted. A totally custom package was created and a fantastic relationship formed that is ongoing today

ZEN arrived in Australia only a few months before the Sydney to Hobart with a long list to change in order to be ready and compliant. Morgan Yachting was contracted over see the project at McConaghy boats Wade had several staff to carry out the list along with the contractors that included scrutineering all engineering and plan approval, New Jib tracks, New bowsprit, Steering wheel conversion, New engine, New electronics, waterproofing and other deck gear changes for offshore needs. The project was hugely rewarding and continues to perform well today Winning the 2021 Cabbage tree Island race

Morgan Yachting was contracted to manage and commission this Botin fast 40 for a long term client with several boats. This boat and role was a lot of fun on a great boat and team. The boat went on to win the Australian championships and several other events often with Wade onboard

Morgan Yachting was contracted to project manage a new design Ker 46+ for a Chinese client. This was on the back of the successful " Black Baza Ker 42 and exploited the relationships formed through that project. After launch Morgan Yachting recruited crew and oversaw the maintenance and sailing program until the local crew was confident to take the reigns.

Morgan yachting was commissioned to oversea the construction and commissioning of a Custom 42' race yacht to compete in Asia. Black Baza had a fantastic first season winning not only the Hong Kong Vietnam and the Rolex China sea race overall in the same year a feat never achieved but also wining the overall Asian yachting Grand Prix. This project achieved all of its major goals in its first season and Morgan yachting is continuing to support the team both on and off the water

A new project for Neville Crichton is hard to resist, back with an owner ive worked with for 14 years. The role encompasses all aspects of the yacht including logistics through to the sailing team management.

Race as a bowman for the Rolex Sydney to Hobart . JK100Work as an assistant to the boat captain with all aspects of the boat. Help with the commissioning of the yacht after its refit. Sail it to Australia and prep it for the Hobart. After the race return it to Sydney .

Sailor- grinder onboard the teams AC72I also ran the teams on water spares. It was my job to be sure we had all possible spares needed to facilitate a last minute repair or in the event of a large issue get the boat home safely with the equipment we had. This included recovery tools and bladders etc in the event of a capsize. Cutting tools for a rig down, chainsaw and cutoff wheels, right down to hand tools , spare running rigging blocks, any thing we needed we had

Hired as a sailor- Bowman and boat captain. I was at Persico the bullders in italy for the final 4 months of the build and was heavily Involved in internal and external layout of the boat to facilitate easy maintainence, servicing and usability in the Volvo Ocean Race arguably the toughest race on boats and people. My role was to oversea the maintainence and changes required on our VO70 on a daily basis and on a leg maintain and repair the systems onboard. I carried composite spares, hydrolic, rigging, electronic, plumbing you name it to fix anything on the go.

Take over the running of RAN 2 a JV72 short term until the Abu Dhabi role commenced. A really enjoyable few months that included negotiating shipping from Italy to Australia, loading in Italy offloading in aus. he yacht was fully serviced after a hard summer and performed very well in a hard Hobart. In the new year we commenced container refits, paintwork and some small mods and repairs, before she was shipped back to Europe

Act as owners representive for the construction liaising with designers, suppliers and the yard. Hands on in deck and internal design from deck layout to rig and sail specs to colours and finishises. In china we rebuilt the boat with a new hull after some initial design issues, went on to win many regattas over the next 2 years. When not in the shed I was the boat captain in Europe.

Sailor- mast man and pit man. I raced as the teams mast man for all the LV acts and the Louis Vuitton cup in 2007I also ran the running rigging for the teams IACC yacht. This encompassed day to day checks and maintainence, building of future lines, monitoring ages and life expectancies, ordering , and developments.

Work as full time crew onboard Alfa Romeo a RP90 in Europe contesting all the maxi events. I was a boatbuilder and rigger for the team

Apprentice boat builder building Chris craft and Hacker replica runabouts form cold moulded mahogany. A very lucky experience to have working with some amazing old shipwrights with fantastic skills and stories to pass on. We built runabouts from 18 to 38 feet. Barrell backs, canoe sterns. Double/ triple cockpit. I'm very grateful to learn some of these skills.

Compete in the Louis Vuittion cup as a mast man for Young Australia 2000. My first taste of professional sailing at 18. We had no shore crew so I was a boatbuilder with the team. Long days but amazing experience!
