Technical Advisor/Armourer
Currentrecently worked in three departments of the Angelina Jolie feature "Unbroken". Firstly completing research for the Set Decorating department prior to construction of a WW2 Japanese prison camp. Second as Queensland buyer and researcher for the Property Department obtaining WW2 props from life raft components to lead actor hand props. Thirdly as Assistant Armourer on set for the prison camp component of the film.I have also worked on Wayne "The Rock" Johnson's "San Andreas", an epic earthquake film, specialising in helicopter rescue props and crew gear. Props buyer and second unit standby props assistant.I worked on Mel Gibson's feature "Hacksaw Ridge", in pre production as military researcher to the art department and props, being also the military props buyer. I then worked on the shoot in the webbing team dressing both Japanese & U.S. military troops on set.In 2018 I have been the art department researcher for set decoration and props on the upcoming Australian Vietnam war film "Danger close" starring Travis Fimmel. I advised on and sourced materials for Vietnam war props and set decorations, weapons accessories, and for costumes, serving during filming on the webbing team. The latter part of the year saw me in Jordan for 3 months as Armourer and military advisor for the new Netflix 10 part series "Messia", due out in 2019. This role put my experience across the prop and costume departments, as well as coordinating hire and use of real weapons from the Jordanian army for the portrayal of several different armies in the middle east.
