Performed wetland surveys across western US, - Nevada, Arizona, Utah, California. High elevation to low desert• Acted as field crew lead and ecologist for EPA’s National Wetland Condition Assessment. Coordinated and oversaw a crew of 4• Responsible for the inventory, maintenance, and accountability of field equipment• Work required complicated, phenology driven, field sampling logistics and scheduling over vast regions.• Organizing and preparing crew member travel with individuals from different locations• Performed work as soil specialist and performed wetland delineations. Employed as a crew lead for the Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring protocol for Moab BLM district.• Performed work as crew lead, conducting the AIM protocol; collecting vegetation, soil, insect and disturbance data.• Utilized organization skills and botanical knowledge to plan phenology driven hitch logistics• Collaborated with Moab BLM office in planning and logistics• Perform data QA/QC and delegate tasks to technicians for efficient workflow• Independently identified hundreds of species of plants, as well as keying out unknown plants to identify all species on plots.• Performed monthly expense reports, trip reports and enacted myriad quality assurance measures using Access and Excel databases.• Routinely used ESRI ArcGIS and ArcMap software to map vegetation and soil data.
