Engineering has been a passion of mine from a young age. I can still recall how fascinated I was by the manufacturing process of goods hoist components by my father in our home garage. I took a keen interest in everything that I watched him work on and was always ready to learn from him.This passion carried me through my studies at the Durban University of Technology. It was here that I realised engineering would always be a part of me. After completing my N.Dip in mechanical engineering, I was privileged enough to join the family business and actively contribute to it's expansion. This has now grown to an entire factory, manufacturing complete goods hoists, dumbwaiters, platform lifts and passenger lifts. Stemming from the realisation that I had a passion for engineering, combined with a drive to provide top quality lifting solutions across the country, I became a qualified lift mechanic.Now, as the managing director of Wesant Manufacturing, this passion remains with me as well as the constant desire to provide sustainable employment opportunities across the continent.I strongly believe in continuous growth within myself and my employees and have invested heavily in this, and will continue to do so as we work towards expanding our business throughout Africa.
