• Joined MJ Abbott, a leading contractor to the sports industry specialising in golf course construction, in order to further develop understanding of the golf industry as a whole. Experience included:o Worked on multiple projects using larger scale machinery such as excavators and dumpers, with the main job being the renovation of Close House Country Club in Newcastle. This included: new USGA specification greens, 9 sets of new tees and the renewal of over 30 bunkers.o Assisted with pitch construction at London Irish Rugby Club and the Grove GC

Birmingham

Involved in all aspects of day to day golf course maintenance including course set up, hand mowing, ride on mowing and bunker renovation. Took control of small teams whilst hollow coring fairways, organising the team to ensure we completed the job to the highest standard. Also involved in a 6-month drainage project. I was also part of an extensive greens summer aeration programme that involved verti-draining, graden, top dressing, feeding and irrigation. Have experience driving tractors on a increasing scale.
