I am a senior in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville working towards a business degree in business analytics with a concentration in supply chain management. My personality and past experiences have made me a strong candidate. I have always had a very analytical mind and I have always been strong at looking at the small details. In a previous position as a golf course grounds crew member, I felt that my strongest characteristic was the fact that I was detail oriented and made sure that each hole had a well cut green and other well-cut areas. I continue to do this in my position as an operations intern with the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Another strength of mine is my consistency and my work ethic towards accomplishing goals. As the president of the wrestling club at the University of Tennessee, I consistently showed up and ran practices three times a week. Some of my business interests include working in the sports industry to help make businesses in this industry more entertaining and making the experience for fans better. My experiences with coding and programming have prepared me to pursue a career in data analytics. For example, using data mining and analytics to find trends that will help improve customers’ experiences with the company. My career goal after college is to begin a meaningful and long career in the sports industry.
