In my previous role as a City Attorney for the City of Chattanooga, I delivered legal counsel to the Mayor, City Council Members, Senior Leadership Team, City Boards, Committees, and Commissions. Over the course of my career as a lawyer, I have developed a proven track record of managing complex litigation and transactions.After fulfilling this role, I harnessed my 15+ years of experience in law, policy, and external relations to implement a global inclusion and diversity strategy as a VP of Inclusion and Diversity. This role allowed me to bring skills gained at a Global Top 10 Company and a National Law Journal Top 250 to a Fortune 250 global organization with 10,000+ employees. In this role, I also delivered strategic advice and counsel to the global senior leadership team and provided updates to the Board of Directors of the company.My passion for law, policy, and business have allowed me to be named one of the nation’s forty best advocates and business leaders under the age of 40 by both the National Bar Association and the Network Journal, a member of Harvard’s 2015 Young American Leaders program, a 2017 Presidential Leadership Scholar, and a 2018 Diversity Community Champion for Justice.I am also a recipient of the German Marshall Fellowship, which enhanced my interest in foreign policy and global affairs.
