This considered the Systems and Services, High Level Use Cases, Information Flows, User Groups, Application Functions, Non-Functional Requirements, Architecture Decisions, ABB’s, IR Standard Operating Environment (SOE), IR Enterprise Technology Group SOA, EAI and Portal Strategies. And facilitated workshops between the Deloitte design team and Inland Revenue application development teams to discuss the scope and approach associated with the integration of the SAP ERP Core components with wider IR Enterprise Systems. I also completed the Design Assurance Report for Phase 1 of the SAP ERP Development Programme. The objective of the Design Assurance Report is to ensure compliance of individual projects against the Enterprise Architecture and established architectural criteria, decisions, and business objectives. This includes the comparison of the baseline solution architecture produced at the initiation phase against the solution architecture produced after the detailed analysis and design phases. Finally, I presented the findings of the Design Assurance Report to the IRD Technical Governance Committee to ensure IT stakeholder approval for design and ensure commitment for delivery.

I aided the client in determining an appropriate application and infrastructure mix recommending movement away from proprietary hardware and software towards more open applications/platforms; with due consideration to the clients existing technology and associated skill sets. Further, I defined the functional and non-functional requirements for a new ATM transaction switch on behalf of Kiwibank (NZ) Limited. And developed a vendor evaluation/selection criteria and associated weightings/scorings workbook, which was used in the vendor evaluation and down selection process.

As a Consultant, I was engaged on an 18 month project to replace regional card processing systems in the UK, Australia and NZ with Base2000 an outsourced solution supplied by Fidelity National Information Services (FIS). I provided Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for MasterCard/Visa scheme rules particularly as they applied to exception processing (disputes, retrieval requests and chargebacks) also fraud management and reporting. And completed Business Systems Analysis of existing VisionPLUS TRAMS (Transaction Routing and Management System) batch suite including input/output file path processing, reporting and transaction mapping to MasterCard INET and Visa BaseII TCR record formats. I also managed testing and verification of output and completed test design specifications, master test plans, test scripts and test summary documents consistent with relevant BNZ testing documentation standards. In addition, I executed software lifecycle testing using the Base2000 user interface and verified the output using File Aid and OMCS. Finally, I completed defect reporting using Test Director (HPE ALM) and participated in the September 2001 MasterCard/Visa scheme compliance.
