Co-Founder & Managing Director (Covid Period)
As a result of travel bans, our trading income, which is principally generated by overseas student programs, was significantly impacted.- Executed cost reductions whilst retaining culture which resulted in 100% retention of employees from Feb 2020 to Feb 2021 despite pay decreases up to 60% (from 5 days pw to 2 days pw). - Managed marketing transition of face-to-face (F2F) lead generation channel (responsible for 74% of leads in Dec 2019) to entirely digital channels by scaling-up digital affiliate partners, paid social and digital execution within universities. By Dec 2020, total leads were down only 6% versus pcp with digital sources accounted for 93% of these leads. Cost of acquisition (CAC) decreased by 14.63% and conversion remained on par with the pre-pandemic period.- Led the creation of 3 new virtual & Regional Australia programs, with the first pilot student intake on July 20. Customer feedback was on par with flagship Global Product. This product was then scaled to be the largest of it’s kind for the Dec 2020 student intake.- Led retention strategy for customers who had purchased the global product by offering alternative products to limit refund requests, ensure customer satisfaction and limit margin impact.
Co-Founder & Managing Director (Pre-Covid Period)
Led the creation of the Global Impact Program (GIP), our flagship program, which gained academic credit approval at initially one Australian University. Over 4 years developed the internal capability to build this out to academic recognition at 13 Australian and 4 International Universities:- Systemised the marketing and sales process for B2C revenue generation, enabling a $3m Revenue run rate prior to COVID, LTV of customer $5,200.- Established lead generation channel (classroom presentations), resulting in almost 10,000 leads of ~13,000 total leads through this channel by Dec 2019.- Managed the development of digital lead generation channels including digital affiliate partners, paid social and content marketing, resulting in more than 3,000 leads by Dec 2019.- Achieved over $1m revenue in first year with nil funding, scaled to 2,000+ customers and placed on BRW Fast-Starter list in 2020. Scaled systems to 30 FTEs and 130+ organisation in 7 countries over 4 years:- Attracted a core founding team and grew it with a purpose & values driven culture. This resulted in industry leading retention and customer service with the highest rating on Google within our industry (4.9 Stars at 250+ reviews).- Developed capability to train and deploy graduates of our flagship product to lead student groups in future programs. This subsequently converted to ASQA accredited leadership program (Cert IV Leadership & Management) which generated ~15% of revenue by 2019.- Embedded replicable risk management processes that became ‘best in class’ for the industry, in 2019 we were Global Finalists for ISOS Duty of Care Awards.- Merged Project Everest with an Australian based incubator to help accelerate product commercialisation for social change enterprises. A successful pilot in 2018 led to the onboarding of five further social change enterprises in 2019.- Achieved a strategic partnership in the US opening access to 100’s of US universities, just prior to the COVID period.
