Hired to lead Technology Delivery, Development and Support teams during period of significant growth and acquisition. Departments included Service Support (helpdesk), Data Integrations/Conversions, Development, Telephony, Facilities, and Infrastructure (Service Delivery). Responsibilities across all departments included expense management and approvals related to an annual budget of $3M; gathering and documenting business requirements related to sourcing new solutions or implementing processes; vendor management/governance and contract compliance; leadership and sponsorship for projects and their respective communication, control, and execution processes; and employee management, engagement and development.

Recruited to develop and implement tools and practices to support the company’s transition in growth (600% growth in 5 years). Reporting directly to the President on matters related to Helpdesk, Project Management and Cloud Services planning and implementation. Charged with managing relationships with clients, third-party vendors and partners; team management of Network Professionals responsible for helpdesk support, technology installation and deployment, cloud solutions infrastructure management and support.

Responsibilities include management of relationships with third-party hosting providers; contract negotiation and compliancy monitoring for all technology and communication services and procurement; support and service management for 60-75 staff in 4 offices across Canada; business continuity and disaster recovery planning, maintenance and testing; and a member of the Executive Management Team charged with determining and executing strategic objectives for growth and efficiency improvements while reducing costs.

Accountabilities included coordinating, managing and reporting of the implementation of business critical operational software to insurance and financial brokerages. Member of Development Committee charged with the responsibility for determining the strategic direction of development efforts for our flagship software products. Responsible for the sourcing, assessment and integration development of third-party software products strategically chosen to improve the efficiency of our valued clients.

Accountable for all matters related to “hosting” brokerage offices to support marketing, growth, distribution and sales strategies across Canada. Direct and coordinate a staff of 34 IT personnel. Involved in the development and management of operational and project budgets of up to $2.5 million. Member of “Broker Advisory Network Committee” charged with developing the vision and architecture for a broker distribution platform and integration system and design.
