As a Project Scientist at the SETI Institute's Allen Telescope Array, I blend my expertise in astrophysics with a passion for advancing radio astronomy. Holding a PhD in astrophysics from Swinburne University of Technology and serving as a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley, I drive the scientific direction of the Allen Telescope Array.My work encompasses the identification and integration of cutting-edge technologies, including high-speed computing and advanced network acquisition software, to enhance the capabilities of the telescope. I develop and refine algorithms for beamforming, radio imaging, and more, leveraging machine learning and statistical models to extract insights from complex radio astronomy datasets.In addition to my technical contributions, I collaborate with researchers on groundbreaking experiments, including the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI). I am also actively involved in writing scientific papers and securing funding through grant proposals.Leading a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers, I foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and discovery. Mentoring students is another key aspect of my role, as I am committed to cultivating the next generation of leaders in the field.
