Develops and executes legislative strategy in order to secure support of a $13 billion budget and extensive authorizations for operations and intelligence. Engages on a daily basis with members of Congress, personal staff, and the professional staff from Senate and House Armed Services Committees, Intelligence Committees, and Appropriations Subcommittees for Defense. Integrates and coordinates with Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) legislative affairs, Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence (USD-I) legislative affairs, Joint Staff (JS) legislative affairs, DOD SAPCO, and Geographic Combat Commander (GCC) legislative affairs offices on behalf of SOCOM for operational and programmatic issues of Congressional interest.
