As a 5th grade teacher at Charles Armstrong, I team taught a class of 5th grade students. I lead a small group for math that was leveled based on abilities. I created all the curriculum and differentiated based on the needs of the students. I also led a Wilson Reading Systems small group in which I implemented the curriculum and worked to learn the program myself. I taught whole group instruction for the subject of English Language Arts in which I created curriculum that reinforced writing skills, concepts, as well as different genres of writing. I created hands on lessons as well as group work that helped teach the various concepts.

While employed at Sea Crest, I worked as the founder of the TK classroom. I was in charge of creating and implementing curriculum, leading small groups, working with parent volunteers, as well as leading conferences. The following year I taught 1st grade in which I taught all subjects and created my own curriculum for all of the subject areas. I implemented small groups for reading and math that were leveled based on abilities.

My duties as a 7th grade Humanities teacher included planning and implementing curriculum, meeting with teachers and collaborating with staff to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners. I was in charge of meeting with parents, following student support plans, presenting for Back to School Night, as well as attending the 7th grade field trip to Catalina Island. I also worked as a support person in the 5th grade classroom multiple times a week in which I worked individually with students, held small groups, and collaborated with the teachers.

While working at BASIS Independent Fremont, I taught both 1st and 3rd grade Humanities. My responsibilities, include, but were not limited to planning and delivering the material as well as differentiating the materials to meet all learners where they were at. In addition, I collaborated with teachers and administrators, met with parents and attended school functions.

When camp was in session, I was responsible for the day- to- day operations of camp as well as the primary contact for parents, staff, and management. I worked with my team of 3-4 Writing Rangers(teachers) and 4-8 Adventures Guides (counselors) to foster an environment where campers fall in love with writing! The camp consisted of 150 campers ranging in grade levels from Kindergarten through Middle School. Prior to the start of camp, I made welcome calls to all registered families, welcoming them to camp and providing any answers to any questions they may have had.

Santa Clara, Ca

I have spent several summers teaching summer school for children who are entering 3rd grade at Saint Lawrence Elementary and Middle school in Santa Clara. It has always been important to me as an educator to gain experience in many different environments and settings. The students that I served while in this position were either struggling and below grade level or just wanted extra reinforcement and practice over the summer. The purpose of my classes was to not only prepare them for the next grade, but to help boost their self-confidence and provide them with a positive school experience. While holding this position, I made sure that I provided curriculum that was creative, stimulating, fulfills the Common Core Standards and catered to students of different abilities.

Los Altos

As a teacher, I had many responsibilities both inside and outside the classroom. I was responsible for creating and implementing weekly lesson plans that are aligned with the Common Core Standards. I corresponded frequently with parents regarding their children and their progress via email, in person and through my weekly newsletters. I was responsible for holding parent teacher conferences throughout the year as well as completing trimester report cards aligned to our standards.
