I am a Malaysian lawyer, and a founding Partner of Harold & Lam Partnership, a.k.a HLP. My practice mainly focuses on arbitration, adjudication and litigation in construction and engineering related disputes. I have acted as Counsel for various large construction companies in a variety of construction disputes. I also advise clients on the mechanisms involved in arbitration proceedings and the various strategies in pursuing claims of such a nature. I also sit as Arbitrator and Adjudicator.In addition to the legal qualifications, I obtained a Master Degree in Business Administration from the Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. I am a Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K.). I am also on the Asian International Arbitration Centre’s Panel of Arbitrators and Panel of Adjudicators. I am the President of the Malaysian Society of Adjudicators (2019-2020), past President of the Society Construction Law, Malaysia (2016-2018), and past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Malaysia Branch) (2016-2017). I am also the current Deputy Chairman of the Asian International Arbitration Centre’s Standard Form Contracts Expert Committee. My recent publications include a co-authored comprehensive text titled "Construction Adjudication In Malaysia - Second Edition” (Sweet & Maxwell, 2018).
