About Michael Waidner

Michael Waidner is the CEO of the National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE. ATHENE is a research center of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, with the participation of Fraunhofer SIT, Fraunhofer IGD, TU Darmstadt, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, and Hochschule Darmstadt. It is sponsored by the German federal and the Hessian state ministries of science and research. He also heads the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology SIT and leads TU Darmstadt's Security in Information Technology research group. His personal research focus is currently on core cybersecurity.
