Looking after design and development of ECS: -Perform 3D concept/detailed design and modelling of radiator parts including plastic tanks and sheet-metal parts, and charge air cooler based on customer’s technical specification and design target.-Generate part level and assembly drawings for production and perform the necessary GD&T/ dimensional stack-up analysis.-Generate design BOM and support for cost calculation.-Work in co-operation with suppliers for part development and tool design simplification for cost reduction.-Take the lead for design reviews throughout the product development cycle.-Work with CAE/Thermal Analysis team to fully use the CAE tools for design validation and optimization.-Work with testing team for proper DVP&R plan establishment per customer’s requirement and test results review, and trace the validation status.-Perform design for manufacturing / design for assembly at the early design phase and review it during design review with manufacturing, quality, vendor development teams.-Follow the engineering change procedures for all needed engineering changes.-Track design changes, input information in system to release or update BOM.-Perform DFMEA analysis with the help of expertise.-Participate in SOP of complete system and perform cross functional analysis for any issues to rectify.-Benchmark various radiators, including the products from the competitors, to improve the design quality and make design more competitive.-Liaise with customers in entire product development phases to ensure expectations are met with respect to performance and packaging requirements.-Participate in ‘Tata Innovista’ to showcase design innovations under development or lessons learnt from failed attempts. Technical Paper got selected for 2 times. -Participate in seminars/presentation to support customer to understand basics of ECS design followed by TTR.-In addition – support for PLM implementation inside company in co-operation with TTL and PTC.
