Ryan Wake is a Data Analysis | Business Intelligence | Stakeholder Engagement | Python | SQL | Power BI | Excel. Colleagues describe him as "I worked with Ryan on the delivery of an enterprise data platform at CFS.
We initially got him in as a BI developer, however we quickly needed to shift to creating a range of queries and reports within Databricks.
Ryan has many talent's and was able to swim in the deep end with very little supervision and accelerated time frames to get the job done. Without Ryan, the project would have been at risk.
Ryan is a pleasure to work with, calm, collective and proactive in his approach. Nothing slips through the cracks and he initiates conversations with the business to get the job done.
Thank you Ryan!" and "Even though my time working with Ryan has been brief, I have been extremely impressed by both his professional and fun attitude to work, and his strong technical skills.
In 7 months he:
* Was a key enabler to help deliver an ever evolving in-house reporting solution on a project in the financial sector - Using Databricks, Python, and dbt.
* Assisted in the delivery of a data warehouse medallion architecture - For which he was nominated for one of Versent's highest awards
* Utilised Snowflake, Power BI, and ArcGIS to deliver a proof of concept for a client tender - Some of these tools he was new to and successfully picked up in a short period of time
* Achieved certifications in both Databricks as a Data Analyst and AWS as a Cloud Practitioner
And all that before I begin to talk about how well he integrated into the Versent culture and team. And in that respect, he is someone who can't help but add value to any project or engagement, and he definitely makes a team enjoy their work more just by having him around.
And to those engagements he brings a very strong knowledge of Power BI, Python, SQL, and Excel skills, and in his time at Versent has expanded that to include Databricks Notebooks and Databricks SQL, along with AWS services.
Overall, Ryan is someone who happily takes on a challenge, uses his existing skills and/or learns what he needs to learn to deliver the outcome, and also looks for opportunities to deliver more whenever he can. And he does this with a positive attitude that infects those he works with.
He is a great Data Analyst who is constantly growing and learning in his chosen field, and would be a strong and valuable asset to any team."
Listed skills include Data Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Physics, and 22 others.
