Mission Planning (.NET)

Serving as an independent software consultant. Created 3D Augmented Reality (AR) demo app for Air Force tent layouts using Xamarin and OpenGL ES. Wrote code to drape NetTopologySuite (NTS) geometries over terrain in Unity 3D. Developed a 3D VR helicopter mission fly through application for Oculus Rift displaying terrain, building, and smoke assets from Unity. Modeled concrete flow with Nvidia Flex in Volumetric Mixer VR application. Enhanced NTS to model curved shapes and extended the geometry operators to preserve curves. Added Full Motion Video (FMV) capabilities to an AutoCAD application to overlay video feeds from drones on a 2D map. Designed and implemented algorithms to create aircraft parking plans and runway damage avoidance used by the Air Force. Most of my consulting has required .NET / C#, but I still love Java! :-)

Have created PHP/Java client/server software for the Automated Maritime Reporting System (AMRS). Designed and implemented the 3D visualization and editing component of an emergency response application, software for a 3D satellite simulation and analysis tool, an OpenGL 3D terrain viewer, created custom layer renderers for an ESRI ArcGIS application, authored the Java based EagleViewer 2D GIS engine, and have enjoyed programming on various other Java/C# projects.

Wrote software for a financial application in Objective C and Java.
