Propulsion Industrial Training Program - Group ProjectConsultancy work in collaboration with Siemens and the Sheffield Low Carbon Combustion Centre to conceptualise an effective method of monitoring lube oil generation from gas turbines. Lube oil mist is an aerosol and hence excessive venting of the mist can be harmful to the atmosphere. The project involved designing a lube oil generator and a modular spool piece capable of supporting different commercial mist measurement devices. The design was created and proposed with the use of a SolidWorks CAD assembly.Our group was rewarded best project performance at the end of the program.
