Reporting to Corporative Operations Director and in charge of 8 people, his main functions are to advice and make IT strategy for editorial and productive areas, Project management, continuous process improvement, Operation management and relationship with foreign suppliers.Achievements:• Reporting to the Executive Vice President to change the publishing manufacturing process, redefine the tasks and roles of stakeholders in the process through a project of incremental change, which allowed to move from 3% to 90 % in the use of design templates reducing operational costs year and lead time.• Improving communication and coordination among corporative processes: commercial, editorial and Operations through a LEAN project, including IT changes, redefining tasks and roles. Processes efficiency was obtained, waste source eliminated, 38% reduction in overall process time and staffing decrease.• Developed a project required by Executive Vice President of Las Últimas Noticias which identified the bottlenecks of their processes and recommended changes that allowed: eliminate waste time, rework and advance newspapers printing and sales in street increase.• The main objective of the Vice President of the company and the need to attract a younger audience, increase readership and modernize the newspaper La Segunda layout design, I planned and directed the implementation of the graphic redesign project, which allowed to increase readership by 10% reaching the target niche within six months.• In El Mercurio Regional Newspapers (20) and with limited resources, I lead a project to provide centralized image database system, operating as software as a service (SaaS) and facilitated to get pictures quickly. Additionally, I recommended to newspapers Directors an editorial change process and introducing quality standards in their products, which allowed to reduce the editorial production time, lower operational costs and improve printing quality.

Reporting to the IT Director and managing a four people team, among his functions such are the planning annual project budget, team leadership, leading software portfolio projects, manage software cycle, negotiate and manage outsourcing companies and supervision of project implementation. • Led negotiations with suppliers, purchasing and installing IBM NICA Content management involving the migration of historical data, a change in business rules, modifying the editorial workflow, and training 700 users within six months project duration. That project reduced the total cost of ownership (TCO), improved users search time and increase the service level.• Led and negotiated the acquisition and implementation of an environment for "Disaster Recovery" (uninterrupted operation if a natural disaster or corruption systems issues) for the main core system of the company, CCI editorial system. This project raised the service level to 99.995% • Led the definition of policies, responsibilities and procedures for coordinating projects deliverables and daily interaction among Development and Operational areas using ITIL framework which resulted in shorter development projects (saved more than a month for each project) and a less rate failure during regular operation. • Led the integration project to connect Production Systems to SAP-R3 systems that allowed the organization to provide instant and reliable information of operational costs.• Due to staffing shortages, I developed a model that allowed outsourcing software development, project implementation time reduction and area productivity increase.• Several commercial and production systems had stability problems, causing data loss, service interruption affecting sales and costs control, generating financial compensation and waste time. I led several projects to correct software root problems coordinating stakeholders and software providers for stabilizing their systems, reducing failure rates at 90 %.
