I am an ASNT NDT Level III Engineer in UT, RT, MT, PT, VT and ET with experience in petrochemicals, oil & Gas industries in Africa and Gulf Region, dealing with inspection techniques to ensure products integrity and reliability. I obtained my B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Khartoum, and M.Sc., in radiation physics from Sudan Academy of Science, and my research on the area of radioisotopes applications for troubleshooting and optimizing industrial processes. Throughout my career, I have been involved in different NDT entities and went through various NDT activities, including, development of techniques and procedures, operations management, provision of training, and inspection of Oil & Gas facilities.Joining FUSE CDT program is highly valuable opportunity to conduct my research under the largest academic ultrasound engineering unit in the world and vital for me to develop advanced technological expertise of Ultrasonic Engineering and its influence in NDE 4.0 vision and objectives to identify and tackle future NDE technology barriers to be used in Industry 4.0. Considering my inter-disciplinary knowledge and expertise, I’m particularly interested in ultrasound applications in Accurate Defect Sizing in Automated In-Process Weld Inspection and offshore Robotic Testing of the Wind Turbine Bolts using Ultrasonic Residual Stress Measurement System​.
