As the Res, Serv Dir at Caregiver, Inc., I oversee the Medicaid ICF/waiver programs for the organization that provides disability support services. I lead teams of direct support professionals,and field supervisors ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency in our operations. I also collaborate with external partners, such as state agencies, providers, and advocacy groups, to advocate for the needs and rights of the people and families we serve.I have been working in the field of disability support services for 4 years. I started as a direct support professional and quickly advanced to leadership roles, thanks to the mentoring and guidance of passionate and creative leaders throughout my career. I have a strong desire to succeed and to help others succeed, and I have developed skills in critical thinking, strategic planning, problem solving, and change management. I believe that connecting people with services and supports that enable them to live fulfilling and independent lives is the best way to affect positive change in our communities.
