I am currently working an internship at the Montgomery County Conservation District to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Geographical, & Geological Sciences: Geography & Planning with a minor in Spatial Analysis/GIS. I have had distinctive experiences in the military, working for the Bloomsburg Giant Food Store, and multiple landscaping and lawn care organizations. Since beginning my internship I have gained experience and knowledge pertaining to erosion and sediment plans, NPDES permitting, Agricultural Preservation Programs, and Watershed enhancement projects.I worked as an armorer in the United States Marine Corps for four years, leading teams and executing tasks with quality and speed, often having to adapt to changing conditions and schedules. I was able to work alongside many different people from a variety of backgrounds. The military has taught me to be adaptable, resilient, and organized.I worked for the Bloomsburg Giant Food Store for five years, during which I learned how to manage and maintain multiple departments throughout the store. I was required to be flexible in order to keep shelves properly stocked, as well as keeping the checkout lines short and efficient. I was able to determine team members strengths and abilities to assist in assigning them appropriate tasks. Throughout my life I have worked a multitude of landscaping and lawn care positions. In doing so I have developed an appreciation for hard work and the outdoors. It also allowed me the opportunity to gain and hone experience with equipment and hand tools, which I believe is a valuable ability to have.
