Twenty-Four-hour accountability for central staffing office that managing real-time management of all nursing departments across four campuses. Responsible for over 200 resource pool employees including nurses, paramedics, EMTs, respiratory therapists, patient care technicians and medical observers. Oversees the team responsible for over 600 agency staff currently present across the health system. Involved directly with disciplinary issues, management of contracts, onboarding and deployment of agency personnel to the appropriate departments.

Returned to the role of AcuityPlus program manager and assumed new responsibilities during the continuing COVID crisis. Helped develop and continued to help manage the labor pool comprised of non-clinical, nursing, and advanced practice practitioners, which provides clinical support to frontline staff across the four-hospital system. Continued to provide key data to leadership that assists in reimbursement and further funding from state and federal resources.

Managed Medical Observers and Virtual Monitoring Technicians across 4 facilities which included hiring, scheduling, and orientating of new employees to their position. Lead the Virtual Monitoring task force that researched multiple solutions to patient sitting prior to selecting CareView as a safety supplement. Lead the implementation team that placed CareView monitors in 500+ rooms across the NGHS system in September ‘19. Designed training modules for staff members across the system.

Managed the Harris Healthcare AcuityPlus program system-wide. Provided education to staff and managers related to tracking, planning and staffing to patient Acuity.Provided bi-weekly productivity reports outlining Hours-Per-Patient-Day both in direct patient care and total hours. Managed the transition of AcuityPlus from utilizing Paragon Electronic Health Record system to EPIC Health Record System. Managed manual volumes for Premier’s Operational Advisor. Collected and entered data into the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI).

Designed patient flow, triage processes and mental health processes prior to opening hospital. Reviewed and revised policies and protocols specific to Braselton facility. Coordinated with various ancillary departments to ensure a smooth opening of the new hospital. Utilized the Daily Management System to collect data to develop process improvements within the emergency department. Studied Lean Management System and then educated others in its benefits and uses within healthcare. Braselton ED scheduling coordinator (50+ employees, RN’s UA’s EMTs). Attended weekly meetings. Worked closely with all ED physicians in coordinating patient care. Supervised the ED on nighshift – managing patient flow, employees and all patient care processes. Aided manager in interviews and selecting agency candidates.

Provided excellent care within all 5 specialized critical care units (Cardiac, Neuroscience, Surgical/Trauma, Cardiovascular and Medical). Triaged and assigned appropriate ESI levels to incoming patients in the Emergency Department. Assisted on Trauma and Stroke teams. Managed ventilator dependent patients with and without sedation. Monitored and titrated vasodilators and other medicated drips. Managed patients on Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump. Removed femoral arterial sheaths.

Assessments, Working with staff to provide excellent care, preparing patients for surgery, receiving patients from surgery, providing care to all ages (including children). Cross-trained to provide excellent care to patients in ICU, PCU, CV-Holding, and Emergency Room. Managed critical care patients. Assisted with codes using ACLS protocol. Promoted to Med Surg Charge Nurse. Provided an environment for new nurses to learn. Made appropriate assignments based on nurse education and knowledge.
