Current• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring access to resources and removing any roadblocks they may encounter in achieving their goals.• Responsible for overall talent management, including recruiting, onboarding, training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.• Improve team effectiveness by continuously evaluating employees’ strengths and refining responsibilities accordingly.• Strategically schedule staff to align with consistently changing workloads and projects.• Manage large, systemwide programs and initiatives such as literary festivals, staff giving campaigns, and student library card campaigns.• Plan, manage, and implement programs and events for audiences of a variety of sizes from small (under 20 people) to large (with thousands in attendance), including budgeting, vendor contracts, and expense reporting.• Train staff and customers both in-person and virtually on topics ranging from how to use our event scheduling software to how to research using the Library’s online resources.• Lead teams and programs both in-person and virtually utilizing a variety of technologies including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Streamyard.• Build mutually beneficial relationships with community partners to further our mission and meet community needs.• Consistently learn and utilize new technology platforms to work more efficiently, such as scheduling software, event registration tools, and budget tracking platforms.
