I moved into engineering side installing Compaq servers, networks, fixing laptops and just about every other facet of systems repair and engineering you can think of.

Observed on telescopes in Canberra and Coonabarabran, scheduled telescope time for observers from around the world for many Australian telescopes. Handled many aspects of public relations including hosting school and university groups, Nobel laureates, spies, white witches, cult leaders and Hollywood personalities. Co-author on several peer reviewed academic research papers. Assisted with organisation and operation of research colloquia and seminars. Assisted PhD, Masters and undergraduate students with projects. Helped to create World Wide Web in conjunction with Berners-Lee. Performed initial research and made initial discovery of accelerated expansion of the universe, which later resulted in the Nobel Prize being awarded to Perlmutter, Reiss and Schmidt. Very varied and demanding role.
