I am a graduate of the Westminster College Honors College, cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.The 2 years after graduating I taught English in Spain. I learned to manage and be comfortable in new situations. Moving to a different country where English is not the main language to start a new job with no support was the most out of my comfort zone I have ever been, but I quickly grew accustomed to the feeling of unease and not-knowing that accompanies new situations. I learned to adapt and accept that I will make mistakes and that learning and growing from these mistakes is how to grow as a person.Currently, I own and operate a small business here in Central Oregon. I provide foodservice disposable products (such as to-go containers, plates, paper products, etc). to small food and beverage businesses. The trust my customers have in me is my greatest asset so I do all that I can to build and maintain that trust.Regarding technical skills and experience, through work and personal projects I have worked with Java, Python, Linux, HTML/CSS/Bootstrap, web frameworks such as Django, both relational and NoSQL databases, and web services such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform. I have done all my developing on Linux so I am familiar and comfortable with the command line and Linux environments and workflows.
