Working in flight instruction means a significant amount of learning. Teaching is the main part of the job, though an understanding of what drives and excites each student is foundational to any attempts of teaching a complicated skill like flying. As such, most of my hours are spent learning about my clients and individually tailoring lessons to their needs.I have high standards for both myself and my clients, usually at least twice as stringent as the FAA's. Most instructors value safety, but more specifically, I have a strong commitment to risk management, quality, and time management which originate form working fast food, customer service in aviation, and actual piloting. My goal is to equip my students to make safe, logical decisions, even in an unfamiliar situation, so they can handle whatever flying may throw at them.In my free time, I enjoy talking with aircraft mechanics to learn how to better operate and take care of the planes that I spend so much time in. This also helps with my side project of building an experimental aircraft which has led to experience in areas like computer aided design (Solidworks), aerodynamics simulation, and tooling for composite construction.If you would like to contact me please send a message through LinkedIn.
