As the Creative and Product Marketing Manager, I spearhead the brand presence of Hyliion ensuring consistency across all aspects of the brand as well as developing product marketing strategies that showcase our products. Through my role, I orchestrate collaboration between the marketing, sales, operations and engineering teams, ensuring that our brand messaging remains consistent and our marketing materials are captivating.Leveraging my creativity, strategic acumen, and project management skills I work to propel our marketing objectives forward and fuel our business growth.For the past 6+ years I've led projects at Hyliion that transformed speculative ideas into refined visions, collaborating closely with the engineering teams, end users, and leadership to iterate on and validate concepts. Two recent examples include a bespoke aerodynamic front end for the Hypertruck KARNO powered Class-8 Peterbilt semi-truck to improve fuel efficiency, and a Hyliion brand forward enclosure for the fuel-agnostic KARNO generator system infused with brand DNA to define Hyliion’s space in a new market.

As Head of Creative I provide design support for Hyliion including UX design, facility design, product design and brand presence.

I joined Hyliion as an Industrial Designer to aid in brand identity development and provide design expertise on varying aspects of the start-up including web design, facility design, product design and vehicle aesthetics.

As an adjunct instructor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh I taught classes in various Industrial Design focuses. Classes included; Product Design Intro, Intermediate, and Advanced, Industrial Rendering, Exhibit Design, Transportation Design, plus various other skill development curriculum.

This was a brief freelance period with PCA assisting in industrial design including graphic design, interior design, 3d printing, large format printing, and one off display/experience design.

During my time at IDL I was part of a team of diversely skilled designers working on experience design projects for brands the likes of Hasbro, New Balance, Oakley, and GNC. Exposure to numerous brands grew my ability to understand brand standards/identities and capability to adapt to different brand needs/requirements, adjusting timelines, and scope changes led by cost.Bringing my Industrial Designer skills to the mix my contributions included brand research/analysis, project briefing, 2D sketching, 3D modeling/rendering, presentation building and close collaboration with graphic designers and 3D modelers to deliver compelling visual stories to clients.

A unique step in my career, Lamborghini offered me an apprenticeship at the Advanced Composite Structures Lab at the University of Washington in Seattle. Here I was able to apply my Industrial Design skills on a forged carbon snowboard binding project that came from a collaboration with the Union Binding Company. This project benefited from dozens of 2D sketch’s overlaying existing bindings to identify opportunities where Lamborghini’s brand DNA and forged carbon material could merge with the Union Binding Companies designs.Skills used for this project included; 2D sketching, 3D modeling, 3D printing for prototyping, and forged carbon sampling via an autoclave machine.These bindings went on to receive ISPO’s 2014/2015 Product of the Year award in the action segment.
