- Develop and implement opportunities for all groups: K-12, undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and the general public through organizing various educational workshops and civic engagement programs- Consult with the center's Directors in the development of policy that supports initiatives that exemplifies the center's commitment to inclusion and equity- Promote the Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter's (LRSM) mission and vision through active marketing and recruitment of top-quality: 1) undergraduate students for the center's undergraduate summer research program (REU) and LRSM-relevant graduate programs 2) high school juniors and seniors from the greater Philadelphia region for a four-week intensive materials science course 3) teachers from the greater Philadelphia region for a six-week research program (RET)- Evaluate and prepare final reports on programs/workshops geared towards increasing participation of traditionally underrepresented groups (URGs) in STEM- Assist the Directors in the preparation of grant proposals- to maintain financial support of programs/workshops geared towards increasing participation of URGs in STEM- Provide administrative and scientific guidance to graduate students/post-docs/staff who assist in the execution of outreach efforts

- Conducted intensive research under the supervision of Dr. Joshua Goldberger- Synthesized pH-responsive PEGylated-amphiphilic peptides and performed couplings for the purpose of cancer imaging (DO3A/Gd3+ chelated)- Analyzed pH/concentration dependent studies to investigate the secondary structure and aggregation properties of PEGylated-amphiphilic MRI contrast agents

Conducted research- generating self assembling peptide nanostructures that undergo morphological changes when exposed to environments of different pHs
