I am the Director of Operations at Shepherd's Hill Academy, a wilderness program in Georgia where we help kids who are dealing with behavioral difficulties. Shepherd's Hill Academy is a loving, Christian therapeutic wilderness program with a focus on person-to-person mentoring and spiritual and biblical counsel. The program intentionally uses the outdoors and primitive living as an alternative to conventional treatment environments, removing modern distractions, and simplifying choices.  Each resident at Shepherd's Hill Academy is taught survival techniques, teamwork and valuable back-to-basics life lessons in nature, right along with furthering their education and gaining biblical knowledge. Students learn to look to God for life direction, accept responsibility for personal decisions, address individual and family issues, and become invested in their own personal and academic growth.
