The experience I have obtained regarding land management, green space evaluation, green space design, and environmental and conservation issues while working for Western Pennsylvania Conservancy has assisted in developing my knowledge base and reinforced my passion for the natural world and the impact and need for smart growth and sustainable design. The knowledge and experience I have gained working with individual project budgets in excess of $225,000 and program budgets in excess of $1.5 million dollars has reinforced the importance of operating in the most efficient and cost effective way throughout the life of a project. The experience and knowledge gained through my work with a variety of team environments including but not limited to working with up to 200 volunteers for a single greening event and 5,000 program volunteers annually reinforced my ability to lead, manage, and direct the logistics and operations of a team. Managing and providing leadership for 200 individual greening projects, local and regional contractors, and new projects at various stages of implementation has reinforced my abilities to multitask, prioritize, and manage time.
