Managed projects: Coal innovation NSW fund 2019 on "An In-depth Assessment of Geothermal Assisted Power Generation for NSW Coal-Fired Power Plants". 12 months. $100,000 AUD. Tasks and objectives: 1. Identification of the most suitable hydraulic fracturing option and heat utilisation strategy 2. Minimising modification to the coal plant while realising the maximum benefit brought by geothermal heat 3. Conduct sensitivity analysis on key economic parameters and benchmarking study with solar assisted power generation in coal-fired power stations. 4. An advanced economic model/tool for evaluating the GAPG concept for any given coal-fired power plant. 5. journal/conference publications and a final technical report.
