Network Integration Engineer: As Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SSI) moves from their proprietary past into the digital world of today my position was created to provide technical network support in development of Intelligent Infrastructure Solutions (Digital Building) projects, with a focus on Information Technology (IT) and Extra Low-Voltage (ELV) systems. I work with all 3 divisions within SSI at a branch level; Sales, Solutions and Service teams through all stages of the project: conceptualization, initial design, budgeting, final architecture, deployment, commissioning and service. I offer very complex support for networking projects to provide optimum system details and the realization of potential for savings. I create network architecture drawings that identify cabling infrastructure, both BLN backbone and FLN horizontal and equipment based on project requirements. I help to manage all IT and ELV 3rd party and partner requirements. I provide project related networking technical documentation to include network design architecture in the form of riser diagrams and cabling floor plans, project plans, scopes of work, equipment and sub-contractor quotes, training workshops, Bill of Material (BoM assessment), project Rough Order of Magnitude, (ROM) and project submittals. During installations I help with the details and documentation to support certification and commissioning of the system for turnover to services and the client. When required I can also support the troubleshooting of the system. I support the Southeast Zone which includes 18 Branch offices and acts as the main regional contact for all engagements with customer’s IT departments.
