Wally Sabria serves as Chief Content Officer for AXIS and leads its Brand + Diversity Consulting (BDC) practice group. With over 20 years experience in multicultural marketing and advertising, he has been a leading voice calling for minority representation in media and corporate investment in multicultural consumer markets.Working with leading brands including Unilever, PepsiCo, General Motors, and The Clorox Company, Wally has designed countless, award-winning omni-channel marketing campaigns targeting diverse consumers. Throughout his career, he has also partnered with non-profit and government organizations to build grassroots, engagement programs with communities of color to drive public health and disease state awareness (CDC, National Kidney Foundation, Kaiser Permanente), as well as diversity recruitment (US Army, LAPD). Prior to AXIS, Wally worked with Weber Shandwick, a leading marketing communications firm part of Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG), where he led the Visual Communications practice group and helped launch the agency's first Digital Communications practice.Wally has been named, "Top Digital Media Professional of the Year" by Portada, a leading industry source for multicultural marketing and media. His work has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including TellyAwards, dotCommAwards, Mobius Awards, as well as an EMMY Award for innovation in digital content. Wally is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. He speaks regularly in conferences across the U.S. and Latin America and frequently lectures at UCLA and Cal State University on social media topics. Wally is a graduate of Florida International University with a degree in Mass Communications.
