Born and raised in Lancaster County, I have spent 30 years in the criminal justice system as a prosecutor and a defense attorney. A large part of my practice is clearing criminal records.I represented those charged with crimes always with an eye toward trying to avoid a conviction through the use of diversionary programs. In January 2017, I became of-counsel to Bentley, Gibson, Kopecki & Smith, in order to expand their family law and criminal defense representation in Lancaster County.After 4 and 1/2 wonderful years with Anne and Eric Gibson, I decided to transition my criminal practice to Chieppor and Egner, so that I could focus on clearing records with Pardons and expungements.On January 1, 2022, I opened a retail location for PA Pardon Services, next to Brimmers at 1356 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster.(Disclaimer: the experience listed above is not meant to indicate that I am a 'specialist', which has a specific legal/ethical meaning.)
