Here's how it went:I started off at Athyna with the enthusiasm that came from finding people I could connect with; the world is full of problems, and we wanted to do our best to solve them.Not long after I settled into the Copywriter role, my responsibilities shifted.My manager (then) helped me improve my sales copywriting and I was responsible for the brand's copy in every form, and conceptualising virtually all marketing campaigns starting from a small budget to quite a big one. (DM me for details.)I cohosted 2 company podcasts; Too Rare To Die and Good News Travelled Fast. I met some amazing entrepreneurs I'd probably never have met on my own at that time. They expanded my mind."Makes everyone comfortable in our virtual office", I paraphrase, but I was considered for Head of Remote and this was my first corporate job after years of contracting/freelancing.I revamped the old website's copy and collaborated to write the copy for the new one. Worked on SEO with my manager too.I also played a major role in sculpting our brand values & impact focus. I also made key decisions to market Athyna's suite of B2B products.After we hired a social media manager, I supervised her work and helped improve her understanding of the field. Created SOPs and marketing/content strategies for the marketing team as well.I was finally asked to spearhead marketing strategy and conceptualisation (Don Draper, hehe) and worked with the creative team to promote Athyna's crowdfunding round.Pretty good, hey? And these are just a few stories.I got burnt out a few times and tried to take breaks where necessary. After 2 years, our partnership ended politely.

I experienced the Nigerian construction industry. I had hopes of contributing to the establishment of a strong railway network, but I learned that it would require private development instead of relying on the government. My most valuable learning experience was project management and organization, which is Berger's strongest suit.

I led a team of 6 people to publish a self-help book for Nigerian students, and we evolved our mission to become Recess, a company that uses educational psychology to improve how we learn. We began building the brand, but we had to put the plans on hold. Recess is definitely in my goals for the future.

I composed and produced music for theatre, podcasts, voice overs, advertising and performance artists.

I started learning the structures of branding and marketing through design, working with my expanding client base to design for start-ups.I worked mostly on social and print ads for businesses in my university, and in Abuja.

I entered into the design space as a freelance graphic designer, taking on design projects to promote businesses operating in my school.I got many great reviews, and I was referred to other businesses working in and outside my university.

Working at Femak exposed me earlier than some of my colleagues to all the soft skills I would need to work with other people. I made great friends, learned AutoCAD design, specialized in geotechnical fabrics and co-supervised the development of the mini stadium at AISA, Abuja.
